The following criteria should be met to qualify as an author:
- Significant contributions to the conception or design of the work or the collection, analysis, or interpretation of data.
- Writing the work or reviewing it critically for significant intellectual content.
- Approval of the final manuscript version.
- Consent to be accountable for all parts of the work, assuring that questions related to the exactness or integrity of any work component are suitably examined and settled.
Those who participated in the work but do not qualify for authorship should referred to in the acknowledgments. Any modification to the author list should be consented to by all authors, including those who were removed from the list. The corresponding author should pivot between the editor and the other authors, keep co-authors informed, and implicate them in primary decisions concerning the publication.
